This beautifully written children’s book is filled with adventure, imagination and wonderful illustrations that bring the story to life. The book follows five different adventures, each with its own sense of magic and wonder, which gradually intertwine to create one enchanting and fantastical tale.

I particularly enjoyed how the individual adventures come together, creating a story that feels imaginative and engaging while encouraging young readers to explore a world filled with excitement and possibility. The illustrations complement the storytelling beautifully and add another layer of charm to the book.

Overall, this is a delightful and imaginative read that is sure to capture the attention of young readers and transport them into a magical world of adventure.

The Guardianship Begins is a magical and imaginative start to what feels like a really exciting children’s adventure series. The story is full of magical creatures, new worlds, detailed settings, and memorable characters, making it easy for young readers to get completely swept up in the world of guardianship.

I especially enjoyed how each chapter introduced a different guardian and showed how each character became part of this magical world. As a child, I know I would have loved this book and been desperate to read the next one. Even as an adult, I found it a fun and nostalgic read that reminded me of the way childhood imagination can make anything feel possible. The illustrations were a lovely bonus too, helping bring the descriptions to life, especially the trolls!

This would be a fantastic choice for older children to read independently, while also making a wonderful story for parents to share aloud with younger readers. Packed with adventure, action, and imagination, it is the kind of book that will spark excitement in children of all ages and send their creativity racing.

The Guardians is a book aimed at young readers about five children called Hudson, Sammy, George, Morti and Becky.

This book had me hooked as an adult, so I can only imagine how much young readers will enjoy getting to know the characters and following their individual stories. The storyline is full of adventure, magic and mystery, with plenty to keep readers turning the pages. The illustrations are beautiful and add an extra layer of magic to the story and will really help young readers connect to the characters and the enchanting world they live in.  I also loved the maps at the front and back of the book, which are a lovely addition and will help young readers understand where the characters are as the narrative progresses.

I adored the faeries storyline and how the stories connected together almost like a puzzle. It was really satisfying to see the separate stories come together and how each character had a bigger role to play.

Although I love all the characters, my favourite is Becky; she’s full of sass, determination and resilience, and I loved seeing how she handled the challenges thrown her way. She is a fantastic character for children to look up to, especially because her story shows that, no matter what you endure, or how difficult things get, you can always find the strength to overcome it.

I’m looking forward to the next instalment, even if I am a little too old to be reading it.

Overall, the Guardians is a fun, magical and enjoyable read, and I'm sure it will delight young readers all over the globe. It’s a wonderful adventure filled with courage, resilience and plenty of magic.
