"I especially enjoyed how each chapter introduced a different guardian and showed how each character became part of this magical world. As a child, I know I would have loved this book and been desperate to read the next one. Even as an adult, I found it a fun and nostalgic read that reminded me of the way childhood imagination can make anything feel possible. The illustrations were a lovely bonus too, helping bring the descriptions to life, especially the trolls!"

This book had me hooked as an adult, I adored the faeries storyline and how the stories connected together almost like a puzzle. Although I love all the characters, my favourite is Becky; she’s full of sass, determination and resilience, and I loved seeing how she handled the challenges thrown her way. She is a fantastic character for children to look up to, especially because her story shows that, no matter what you endure, or how difficult things get, you can always find the strength to overcome it."
